Every bespoke shirt is created in close collaboration with you. With every order, we discuss all the details so that your shirt perfectly matches your personal lifestyle, your preferences and your requirements in terms of style and comfort.

The team of WERNER SCHERER advises you, guiding you through every decision - from style and model to collar and cuff shapes, buttons, and even the option for hand-embroidered initials. We consider all aspects, including the occasion, your age, and your figure, to create a shirt that truly reflects your individuality.

STYLING

Create your perfect shirt with endless customization options. Choose from a wide range of collars - Italian shark collar, button-down collar, Kent collar, TAB collar, PICCADILLY collar with pin or minimalist Indian stand-up collar - each with its own distinctive character. Choose classic or decorative cuffs, different pocket shapes and different button plackets and hems for a look that's all yours.  

The stiffness of the collar interlinings also determines your style: firm for business, soft for casual or semi-firm for the perfect balance of comfort and structure. Our experts recommend a semi-firm interlining for most occasions.

AESTHETIC IN DETAIL

Sophisticated detailed appliqués and fabric inlays as aesthetic finishing touches in perfect craftsmanship. Carefully selected and individually cut, ironed and sewn by hand, small pieces of fabric are masterfully inserted into collars and cuffs. We design your detailed shirt individually and exclusively.

FABRIC SELECTION

After styling and fit, the choice of fabric is the key to your perfect bespoke shirt. As shirts are worn next to the skin, comfort is our top priority. We work with the highest quality fabrics, such as Egyptian Giza, Supima and Sea Island Cotton, Normandy linen, pure silk, wool or luxurious cashmere, which are characterized by their unique feel and quality. Exclusive manufacturers such as ALUMO (Switzerland) and ALBINI (Northern Italy) with the premium collections THOMAS MASON and DJ ANDERSON stand for a comprehensive selection of colors and designs and guarantee sustainable production.

Exquisite mother-of-pearl buttons, coordinated with the chosen fabric, give your tailored shirt an extra touch of elegance.

SILK & EXOTIC

Tailor-made shirts with an absolute statement character in extraordinary patterns for absolute luxury.

Fabrics, some of which we only have printed in small quantities exclusively for us as LIMITED EDITION. These extraordinary designs are usually printed on silk, but the collection also includes prints on cotton or linen.

MADE FOR YOU

Every shirt is crafted to your exact specifications, reflecting your personal style and preferences. Whether you prefer a slightly fitted or more relaxed silhouette, we recommend a close-fitting cut that blends a modern look with comfort and ease of movement.

Werner Scherer will take your measurements. In addition to your body measurements, we also note the dimensions of a sample shirt to ensure the perfect fit. From these details, we create a unique pattern tailored just for you - considering your stature, posture, and preferences for fit and comfort.

Your shirt is then handcrafted in our Italian workshop according to your pattern. For future orders, your measurements are securely archived. If your measurements change, we’ll adjust your pattern accordingly.

TRADITIONAL TAILORING

Each of our bespoke shirts is made in Italian workshops to our exacting standards using traditional methods. From cutting the pre-washed fabrics to sewing and pressing, every step is carried out by hand and demonstrates the virtuoso skills of our tailors.

An extremely short and fine stitch is the quality feature of the seam of a Werner Scherer shirt with 9 stitches to one centimeter. The side seams are only 3 millimeters wide and require three manual work steps due to their fineness. 

You have the choice between a shirt in our classic finish, SARTORIAL, or a completely “handmade” shirt, FATTO A MANO, in which the buttonholes, collar, sleeves and the fine leg corners are sewn entirely by hand with needle and thread.
