WS VALDILANA
All suits and blazers in our VALDILANA sartorial line are crafted by hand according to the principles of bespoke tailoring, combining Italian tailoring expertise with contemporary manufacturing techniques in a traditional style featuring a piqué front and a full-canvas lining. – This results in suits and blazers that meet the highest quality standards and embody our vision of elegance and Italian lightness.
Tailoring standards of a VALDILANA jacket:
- Front panel hand-quilted with a full-canvas interlining made of horsehair
- Traditional collar construction
- Buttonholes optionally hand-stitched
- Lapel edges hand-stitched
- Buttons made of natural materials such as buffalo horn, mother-of-pearl, corozo, and metal
The final “fine-tuning” of the fit and the artisanal finishing touches—such as hand-sewn sleeve buttonholes or the precise adjustment of the pant length - are carried out in our Munich tailor atelier.

WS X CASTANGIA 1850
The production of a WERNER SCHERER jacket by Castangia takes nearly 25 hours of work and involves countless manual steps. To ensure the lapel’s shape retention and drape alone, approximately 2,000 small cross-stitches are sewn between the interlining and the outer fabric. All pieces are cut, basted, and ironed by hand. This extreme attention to detail and meticulous care reflect the charm of a handmade Italian jacket.
